Ankit received his B. Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Varanasi in 2015. Currently he is in the PhD program in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park under the supervision of Prof. Ankur Srivastava.

His research area is “non-conventional architectures and computing methods using emerging beyond-CMOS device technologies”. Currently he is working on hardware realization of Ising models using Magnetic Tunnel Junctions for solving combinatorial optimization problems.
